Key Education Activities

EDC has been involved with the following activities:

• attending and presenting at the 10th International Conference on Engineering and Product Design Education

• being interviewed by Design Week for an article entitled 'A Change is Gonna Come'  discussing EDC's work with the four Welsh universities

• attending the Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Event in Cardiff

• running the 'Design for Sustainability Education Day: Dialogues in Practice' workshop in May 2008 . The event included a training/information session on sustainable design education by an external practitioner, Dr Emma Dewberry

• delivering guest lecturers to 3rd year design students at UWIC and FE students on the Welsh Baccalaureate

• hosting a first year student placement from Glamorgan University for six weeks

• co-developing an ecodesign teaching resource alongside 'trainer training' to help build the educators knowledge

• delivering the 'Education Launch' event held in June 2007 to start the collaboration
