True Taste Award Winners Workshop Nov 2007

The True Taste invited EDC to participate in its workshop held on the 16th November 2007. This was exclusively for the 2007/08’s award winners and around 40 companies attended representing the best in food and drink from Wales.
Although not all winners would be categorised as SMEs the vast majority of Welsh food and drink companies fall into this category. Many of these companies ascribe to the principles of the slow food movement and there is also a strong focus upon organic farming. The philosophies behind ecodesign complement these approaches and help businesses to focus on sustainable practices and their social responsibility.
By attending this workshop EDC were able to explain about the new Contribution to Sustainability True Taste Award and offer ecodesign guidance and direction to leading businesses from this priority sector.
