Applying Ecodesign in the Construction Sector

The Ecodesign Centre recently presented its preliminary findings on the role of ecodesign in construction materials and products to the Welsh Assembly Government and Constructing Excellence Wales (CEW). This research project sought to identify an appropriate direction on developing a framework on construction, demolition and building materials, products and potential legacy and hazardous waste issues in Wales. It will form part of the Construction Sector Plan that will be a key element of the delivery of the Wales Waste Strategy 2009 – 2050: Towards Zero Waste. The Ecodesign Centre will be publishing some of its main findings over the coming year.
